Cardea’s 2022 Interop-a-thon: Successes and Lessons Learned in Digital Health Credentials

Recorded: Tuesday April 19, 2022

Webinar Speakers: Keela Shatzkin, CEO, Shatzkin Systems; Ken Ebert, CTO, Indicio; and Mike Ebert, Enterprise Team Lead, Indicio

This webinar is hosted by Cardea, an open-source codebase for creating, sharing, and verifying digital health credentials in privacy preserving and secure ways. As an LFPH project, and with a community of developers, Cardea has initiated “Interop-a-thons,” hackathon-style events to drive interoperability not only among users of Cardea, but for any company or organization developing identity solutions on Hyperledger Indy and Aries codebases.

Cardea’s most recent Interop-a-thon saw six companies test against the Cardea reference implementation—and on two new additions to the codebase: out-of-band communications protocols, soon to become standard in Hyperledger Aries, and a first implementation of machine readable governance—a way to embed governance rules at the agent level. In this webinar, we’ll cover all the key elements of verifiable digital health credentials and discuss what we’ve learned from hosting the Interop-a-thons. Speakers will include Keela Shatzkin, CEO, Shatzkin Systems; Ken Ebert, CTO, Indicio; and Mike Ebert, Enterprise Team Lead, Indicio.

This event is targeted towards public health and healthcare professionals, technologists, as well as anyone interested in using verifiable digital credentials to authenticate and share high-value information.
